Key Areas of Responsibility:
1Manufacturing Process Engineering for EV Battery AssemblySpearhead the Manufacturing Process Engineering activities for the Final Assembly of EV batteries.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and productivity within the assembly line.
2Process Development and ExecutionApply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and refine manufacturing processes and products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop action plans, investigate quality concerns, and implement corrective actions for internal and supplier processes.
3Assembly Line EfficiencyConduct ergonomic evaluations of assembly tasks and implement corrective actions as necessary to enhance workplace safety and efficiency.
Analyze root causes of Cell/Array scrap and drive waste reduction through mapping and corrective actions.
4Process Documentation and ComplianceCreate comprehensive process and instruction sheets to support quality methods and processes.
Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards, including ISO 14001.
5Lean Manufacturing and Continuous ImprovementLead the resolution of assembly-related concerns and spearhead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Champion best practices to optimize efficiency and throughput.
6OEE OptimizationIdentify constraints in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and drive root cause improvements to maximize production efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or related field.
Experience:
5
years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Flexibility to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern.
Willingness to travel significantly during the initial plant start-up phase.
Strong leadership qualities with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
Additional experience in:
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
8D and 5 Why corrective action and problem-solving techniques.
Lean Tools:
5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
TQM and Kaizen Methods.
FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs (Design of Experiments).
Visual Factory Management.
Ergonomic analysis knowledge and experience.
Recommended Skills Analytical Automotive Industry Batteries Business Process Improvement Communication Continuous Quality Improvement (Cqi) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
